Online Credit Card Payment Terms & Conditions
Before your payment can be processed you must accept the following terms and conditions.

Acceptance
By using the Hokonui Fashion Design Awards (HFDA) online payment service you have agreed to accept the terms and conditions applying at the time you complete the transaction.
​
Service Providers
The service available through this website is provided by Westpac and Eway in agreement with HFDA. You do not have to be a Westpac customer to use this service.
​
Payments

Payment may be made using only Visa or MasterCard credit or debit cards.
-
All charges are in New Zealand Dollars and inclusive of GST (if any).
-
Once a payment has been made it cannot be cancelled.
-
HFDA accepts no responsibility for refusal or reversal of payments, which shall be a matter between you and your credit or debit card issuer.
-
You must carefully check all information you input into the HFDA online payment service, to ensure it is correct before you confirm the transaction can proceed. You will not be able to change it once it has been submitted.
Once the transaction is completed you will be given a reference number and a confirmation notification will be sent to your email for your records. It is your responsibility to verify that all transaction information and other details are correct. HFDA shall have no liability for transactions which are incorrect as a result of inaccurate data entry in the course of the use of the Service or for loss of data or information caused by factors beyond HFDA control.

Fee Payable
Fees of ?.?% (GST inclusive) plus ?? cents per transaction are applied to the amount payable to HFDA. HFDA does not retain any part of these fees. They are processing fees paid to Westpac and Eway except the GST element if applicable, which is paid by HFDA to IRD.
​
Other fees or charges may apply as this transaction is carried out in terms of the arrangement between your card issuer and yourself. It is your responsibility to ascertain what fees, if any, there are.
​
If payment is made using a credit/debit card issued outside New Zealand, any currency conversion will be done according to the terms and conditions of the card and there may be additional fees charged by your card issuer.
​
Refunds
Refunds, if any, will be at the entire discretion of HFDA and will be made as HFDA determines. Any refunds made will be for the invoice amount and will not include the ??%+?? cent fees charged for the initial transaction.
​
To request a refund please email info@hokonuifashion.co.nz in the first instance.
​
In the event that the MLT Hokonui Fashion Design Awards is cancelled, the following refunds will be given to designers;
-
event cancelled before 26 June June – full refund of entry fee,
-
event cancelled on or after 27 June and before 23 July – full refund of entry fee and garment returned,
-
event cancelled between 24 July and 28 July – no refund and garment returned.
Security
Payments using the Service are made through a secure third party website. However, you acknowledge and agree that Internet transmissions cannot be guaranteed to be entirely secure or private and any information provided by you (including credit or debit card information) may be able to be read and/or intercepted by a third party. HFDA shall have no liability for the interception and/or 'hacking' of any data or other unauthorised access to information provided by you for the purposes of the Service.

HFDA uses the Eway Payment Gateway for its online credit and debit card transactions.

Payments are processed in real-time.

HFDA does not have access to your full card number, this credit or debit card payment is secured by the Eway Payment Gateway.

Eway’s Payment Gateway is compliant with the PCI-DSS standards for secure payments processing.
Provision / Collection of Information
You acknowledge that the credit or debit card information supplied by you in relation to the use of the Service is processed through a secure third party website. The only information supplied to HFDA via the third-party website is:

The name of the card holder and card type.

The first 6 and last 4 digits of the credit or debit card (for validation purposes).

The expiry date.
-
The payment amount.
-
The time of payment.
-
The Online Payments payment reference number.

The payment outcome.
By using the Service, you agree:

To provide information through electronic means, i.e. you agree to provide any relevant information, in the format and to the standards described for each transaction/application.

That the information supplied by you will be retained in electronic form.

To receive information through electronic means.
No Warranty
Westpac, Eway and HFDA make no warranty, express or implied, and do not assume any legal responsibility:

That the website or the server are free from computer viruses or any other harmful components, defects or errors

That any defects in the website can be corrected
-
That your access to the website will be reliable, without interruption, deletions, defects, computer viruses or communication line failures or
-
For any theft, destruction, damage or unauthorised access to your computer system or network.
New Zealand Law
The HFDA online payment service is governed by New Zealand law, and the New Zealand Courts have exclusive jurisdiction in relation to it. The HFDA online payment service has been prepared in accordance with New Zealand law. If you access the HFDA online payment service from outside New Zealand, you do so at your own risk and are responsible for ensuring compliance with all laws in the place where you are located.

Right To Suspend, Alter Or Cancel Service
HFDA will be entitled at any time and without prior notice to you to suspend, alter or cancel the online payment service.
